Here is how this newborn shoot was a challenging one, but that’s what makes this so much fun. This adorable little fellow lives in Jersey City, NJ, and hes got some pretty nice views I must add. On the 3 rd floor of a beautiful building, this amazing family open their doors for me. So I kinda skipped over that challenge I mentioned earlier, but here goes. Travel newborn photographers bring everything that is needed for the shoot, so pretty much the entire studio. And yes I had to bring all of this up through a car garage next door and into the elevators, through a luggage carrier ( Fun Stuff). But my clients are always the sweetest people I tell, I can’t get any luckier. “Dad” was nice enough to come downstairs and help me with bringing all of it up while we had a great conversation about their little bundle of joy that I was about to meet.
Once I was up there, I did the first thing I always do (look around for the area with the best lighting), and I was greeted with gorgeous natural light streaming through their balcony. After that it was time to start. Meeting my little client is always my favorite part. Brings me back to my babies first few days in this beautiful world. After three different setups and a very complicated black and white shot, I called it a day!. The complicated black and white shot turned out to be our favorite. Without studio lighting, I was a little worried but out came this gorgeous shot that my clients can’t wait to put up on their wall. ( First image below). Oh and lets not forget that a boat was also involved in this shoot and some adorable little turtles ( never a dull moment ). I am so thankful for meeting this family, I had a chance to meet all four grandparents as well, which is always nice as they are the ones that enjoy the shoots the most. (such a lucky little man to have so much love)
